Darwin’s Doubt

But then with me the horrid doubt always arises whether the convictions of man’s mind, which has been developed from the mind of the lower animals, are of any value or at all trustworthy. Would any one trust in the convictions of a monkey’s mind, if there are any convictions in such a mind?”

Conviction becomes fluid in Darwinian psychosis. Should I trust my own convictions? How do I know they are enhanced, superior or inferior,  or are even real in some objective analysis. This is a defeater system that is self-refuting. Naturalism, in an evolutionary model,  presents a materialism that is detached from moral realism, though it desperately seeks it. You either keep seeking or simply deny the existence of moral realism, but even that is a metaphysical claim about the deficiency of materialism.

  1. Yep Darwins reason dissolves itself … It either corrects itself reasonably (recognizing and seeking an objective or Objective Reason) or we take the Nietzsche exit from reason to will/power.
