Delete your account

1. Delete it yourself

You do not need the mobile app installed. The same steps work in the Android and iPhone apps and in the browser.

1. Open app.totascriptura.com (or the app) and sign in.
2. Open the menu and choose Your data.
3. Under Delete your account, choose Delete my account and confirm. If you signed in with a password you will be asked for it once more.

If you want a copy of your data, use Take a copy on the same page first. It cannot be recovered after deletion.

2. Ask us to delete it

If you can no longer sign in, write to contact@totascriptura.com from the e-mail address your account uses, with the subject Delete my account. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before acting on it, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. We carry out the request within one month at the latest.

3. What is deleted

• Your sign-in account, so you can no longer sign in with it.
• Your profile: name, nickname, country and profile photo.
• Your private study: notes, bookmarks, categories and sermon notes.
• Your study group memberships, follows and likes, the devices registered for notifications, and your answers to polls.

4. What is kept, and why

• Messages and topics you posted publicly stay in the conversations they belong to, with your name removed. Other people took part in those discussions and their replies are their data too. The same applies to study groups you created, which stay for their other members without you as the owner.
• Moderation records (reports, decisions and appeals) are kept with your identity removed, as the record of decisions taken.
• The deletion request itself is kept as evidence that erasure was requested and when.
